MY FIRST DANCE PERFORMANCE IN A THEATRE
Even if you know the choreography perfectly, you are going to be nervous in the performanceTo begin with, this performance happen in 2018 on the theater of the high school”24 de mayo”.”Salon de la Danza” the academy where I dance, prepared a performance in a big theatre
To check settings like lights, space and the number of assistants I went into the enormous scenery that will give a different style to our dance, I felt very nervous and eager to dance because we had awesome choreographies to show the public,we worked a lot to make them,the atmosphere felt tense because we were very nervous it was our first performance in such a big space ,continuously we had a general rehearsal with all the teams;everybody was giving their 100% on each choreography, but then I mistaken in a turn, I should go to the other side and That made me feel even more nervous about making a mistake in the general presentation, after we finished with the rehearsal it was time to get ready, the costumes were fantastic and beautiful they were perfect with the hairstyle and makeup, we were all ready to go and give the best.
At the end All the dancers gave everything on stage,the music was perfect,the people was clapping and also the lights illuminated us in the perfect way but nobody knew that behind the curtains it was crazy, everyone ran, combed their hair, got ready, looked at the other choreographies, (they even noticed when it was going to be their turn) no entiendo , total madness,
after all, it was amazing seeing all the people smiling,clapping and enjoying our dances is an experience that I will always remember of this incredible experience I learned that is does not matter how and when but you have to follow your dreams because you'll never know how far you can go if you don't try.
ResponderBorrarI really liked your story, And you put a lot of sensorial details and that helped you a lot so that you can understand us or get into the role of the story. Those moments of nerves or fear in front of the public is very disturbing. And I think that has all happened to us with different themes or presentations.
I have never been in a contest like that, and I could not say how it feels, but it seems to me that there are a lot of nerves at that time, and you had to continue with nerves and everything, I liked hearing your experience and the best thing is that I could understand it very well.
ResponderBorrarI really enjoyed reading your story, I think almost all of us have felt the same, when we have to speak or do something in public, just with the idea that there are many people who may not like what you are, you are going to do it makes you nervous. When I was practicing dance, I once had a presentation, everything was chaos, but fortunately I was with my sister and that calmed me down,I'm glad you did well in your presentation.
